Barça Ready for Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition two and a half years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht on 9 December at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
