The relatives of teens unaccounted for after a devastating fire at a bar in a Swiss alpine town are facing an excruciating wait for official news and pleading for clues about their family members publicly.

The blaze devastated the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Circulated video reveal the ceiling catching alight as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Emergency services have stated that it could take considerable time to identify the those who perished of the tragedy, which killed numerous partygoers and wounded another over a hundred. A spokesperson stated on Friday that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to name the remaining few.

In the waiting period, relatives have been using the internet to plead for any news about their loved ones who were present at the venue that night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are currently unknown, according to an heartfelt request from his family.

The resident of a town near the city, informed a local newspaper that she had gone back to Lausanne to see if he was in the hospital, while his father did the same in Bern, but did not locate him.

"I'm living a nightmare, a horror. Either I find my son in the hospital mortuary, or I find him in a serious state. Words cannot describe it," she said.

She explained that some of his friends had been discovered with burns covering a significant portion of their bodies. "There are no words; they endured an absolute nightmare."

The Italy's government has indicated that six of its young people remain missing.

Teenage sportsman Emanuele Galeppini, sixteen, was last heard from around the turn of the new year on December 31st, his father said.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also unaccounted for. His mother told reporters that he had been on holiday but had gone out with friends and ended up at the venue.

"Someone with him told me they ran away after the fire broke out and that he had his phone with him, but then at a certain point he they were separated," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his teachers commented, "I've always been struck by his good nature and positive demeanor, coupled with great maturity. Every time ask if get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives full-time in the country, was also present on New Year's Eve, according to media.

Her sibling has published an appeal on social media, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the 15-year-old or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.

Consular authorities from her country of origin say they are continuing to monitor the developments.
